What's stopping you from giving every child your best lesson?

No sign-up. A real school to look around; nothing you change is saved.

It isn't your teaching. It's a curriculum you're still learning, evenings lost to planning and worksheets, weeks that never go to plan, and children who speak different languages at home. Lessonsmith is a teaching assistant that prepares all of it for you, always at least a month ahead: the plan, every lesson and every worksheet. And it keeps them right when things change.

For teachers

Every lesson prepared with you, wherever you teach

In a school, running your own classes, or tutoring privately: Lessonsmith plans your year to your curriculum and prepares each lesson with you.

See how it works

Four common problems

Teachers' time is limited

A curriculum you've never taught

“I've never taught Cambridge. I have to learn it myself before I can teach it.”

Lessonsmith finds the official curriculum, or reads yours from a PDF or a photo of the page, and lays it out topic by topic, with how many lessons each one needs. Before each topic, it gives you a short explainer to learn it first, so you walk in sure of it.

Evenings lost to preparation

“Planning, studying and making worksheets. That's where my evenings go.”

Every lesson arrives ready, in the order you'd teach it: what to say, a worked example, questions with their answers, the mistakes to watch for, and a worksheet to print. Change anything you like.

Weeks that never go to plan

“A holiday, an exam, an assembly, and my plan is two lessons behind.”

Move a lesson and the rest of the course moves with it. A double period gets a lesson that fills it. Tell it what you actually covered, and the next lesson starts where your class really is.

Children who speak different languages

“My pupils speak Tamil, Mandarin and Malay at home. The examples in the textbook come from none of their lives.”

Tell Lessonsmith which language your pupils speak and where they live. It writes the lesson in that language, with names, places and examples from their own lives, and the same maths and the same care for every child.

What if every lesson was ready before you were, whatever changed and whoever is in the room?

Here is what a week looks like.

  1. Sunday evening

Nothing to prepare. The week's lessons and worksheets are already there.

  2. Monday, on the way in

Listen to today's lesson read aloud, hands-free.

  3. Tuesday

An exam takes your period. Move the lesson once; the rest of the course follows.

  4. Wednesday

A colleague is off sick. The office sees who is free that period and asks one of them to take the class, in one tap.

  5. Friday

What you really taught this week is on record, so Monday starts where your class really is.

How it works

Learn the topic, teach it, then check the class has learned it, all from the same material.

1

Learn it

Before a new topic, a short explainer for you, or a fuller course if the topic is new to you.

2

Teach it

The plan says what happens first, next and last, and you can reorder any of it. The worksheet and the examples come from the same material.

3

Check it

Classwork and homework on the same concepts, marked for you where they can be, so you see who has it and who needs another go.

Every child, in their own language

One maths question, written for three different children

A teacher sets a simple speed problem: a car travels 100 km at 40 km an hour, so how long does the journey take? Lessonsmith rewrites it for each child in the language they speak at home, with names and journeys from their own life. The maths, the difficulty and the answer stay exactly the same.

Ramakrishna drives to his grandmother's house, 100 km away, at 40 km an hour. How long will it take?

The Lee family drives to grandma's house, 100 km away, at 40 km an hour. How long will it take?

Bahasa Melayu

Keluarga Putri memandu balik ke kampung yang jauhnya 100 km dengan kelajuan 40 km sejam. Berapa lamakah masa yang diambil untuk sampai?

Putri's family drives back to their home village, 100 km away, at 40 km an hour. How long will it take?

Every version has the same answer: 100 ÷ 40 = 2½ hours.

You tell Lessonsmith once which language a class speaks and where the children live. English is the default, and any of 16 languages works. Every lesson it writes for that class follows.

Your curriculum, your way

Bring the curriculum you follow, or build your own

Find it for me

CBSE, ICSE, Cambridge, Malaysia's KSSM, Singapore's MOE: Lessonsmith finds the official curriculum, lays it out lesson by lesson, and tells you when a new version is out.

Upload it

A PDF, photos of the pages, even screenshots. It reads them word for word, and you check before anything is saved.

Build it with me

No published curriculum? A subject of your own, or one your school teaches as part of its mission, such as Quranic studies? Say what it is for, and Lessonsmith drafts the year with you. What you write stays yours.

One teacher, one plan

US$40 a month, or US$400 a year

  • 1,500 AI credits every month, for lessons, worksheets and briefings
  • Planning your year, weeks and days is always free
  • A free classroom, no card
  • Top up any time: 400 credits for US$10

Teaching privately or freelance? Your own students and classes live in your own workspace, on the same plan.

You can always plan one month past the date you've paid until: a monthly plan sees two months ahead, a yearly plan sees the year and a month more, and a free classroom sees 45 days, with 30 more every 30 days. Everything you make stays yours.

How schools pay

  • One flat price per school, set in your contract. Never per child, never per seat.
  • One shared pool of AI credits for all your teachers.
  • We send your school an invoice. Pay by bank transfer, cheque or cash.
  • Your teachers can plan the whole contract year and the first month after it, so a new school year never starts blank.

For homeschooling families

Teach your own child, in your own language

A year planned from your board's curriculum, in the language you speak at home, with every lesson prepared for you.

  • Each lesson explained to you before you teach it, so you never have to be the expert first
  • Worksheets at your child's level, and the level rises as they do
  • Your child's work kept in one place, year after year

Families use the same plan as a single teacher.

How we protect children's data

  • Each school's data is kept completely separate from every other school's. The database itself enforces it, not just the app.
  • Never sold, and never used for advertising.
  • When a child's details have to go to an AI service, they only ever go to four providers, chosen for how they handle data.
  • A school can take all its data back, or delete every record of a child, at any time.
